Glam rock & fishing! They said it could never happen!

Brazenly, and some might say bizarrely, Dr Glam played a guest spot at the Fishing Coast to Coast magazine conference in Hamilton, New Zealand, at the start of November. With local band HOOKED admirably standing in for his own band, the doc startled bearded fisherman types and others with a short, sharp set of 70s glam rock classics and Dr G originals. For a short time all of the fishing delegates, sponsors, advertisers and assorted conference goers sparkled brightly in the reflection of their Tui Blond bottles, spurred on by glam, smoke machine, and glitzy light show. But look at the synergies - if the sea is flat we could get you to hold a large hook and we could troll you for marlin, sparkling away on the cobalt Pacific currents. Of course large makos also eat sparkly things so you might want to check the insurance first... Seriously though it was great fun to back the Glam Master. Jeckyl and Hyde is a top song to play and Schools Out was brilliant... It was loud and half the city would have heard us... Still not sure about those white boiler suits though...

Heh heh . . . yeah, White Marlin, it was a fine thing. Brainwave! How about Bonze making a Dr Glam lure to market amongst that sparkly glamesque range of his? A surefire gamefish attractant for sure!

There is a famous lure by another manufacturer called The Ghost. You can see where this is going... By sheer coincidence the lure master is here for breakfast in the morning. Watch this space for the world premier of the Ghost Train lure in lumo green and sparkles...
